The Dark Knight Legacy progressional

Step by step progressional of my "Dark Knight Legacy" poster.

Started off with pencils (6B and mechanical) and ink on vellum paper and used a unibal white gel pen for detailed highlights.

Then I photographed the pencil drawing and went on to further detail and balance the levels/contrast in photoshop cs2.

Next i duplicated the b/w layer and started painting base colors over it. This process was repeated with about 5 layers with varied amounts of detail with an optical mouse.

Once satisfied with the color, i started painting in misc effects and highlights and applying the finishing touches.

Got a detailed view at the bottom of the image...since the original file is HUGE and you cant really see all the details on here.

From start to finish-21 hours.
